An 80-year-old grandmother in Bath has written a remarkablememoir that traces the family history of both herself and herhusband from the 1800s up to the time they married in 1952.
Standing On The Bridge, by Sheila Squire, runs to 452 pages andincludes dozens of family photographs, documents and letters, and isjust as much social history as it is a family account.
Sheila, together with her husband Frank, marked the book'spublication last month with a tea party for family, friends andresidents at Avonpark retirement village, near Bradford on Avon,where they have lived for the past three years since moving fromNorfolk.
