'Muslim' held in Thackeray threat case.

MUMBAI: The Thane police have arrested a married Hindu from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh for posting a message on the social networking website Orkut threatening to eliminate Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray.

The accused Adarsh Sinha impersonating as a Muslim youth Fazal Farooqui was on Saturday produced before a magistrate who remanded him to police custody till Aug. 29.

On Aug. 5, a message was posted on the Orkut website threatening to eliminate Thackeray. Two Web pages "Anti-Shiv Sena" and "Shiv Sena Shocks" were uploaded on Orkut and a cross was marked on the picture of Thackeray. A complaint was then lodged with the police …
