NSW: Terrified residents shelter from rockmelon-sized hail

SYDNEY, Jan 17 AAP - Six-year-old Caitlin Prior huddled, crying, in her Kingscliffhouse as huge hail stones smashed the roof tiles and shattered the windows.
The severe storm took only 15 minutes to wreak its destruction on every house on ShorePlace at Kingscliff, on the NSW far-north coast, around 4pm yesterday.
The storm also devastated Cudgen, Banora Point, Murwillumbah, and Lismore with theState Emergency Service responding to over 500 calls for assistance.
Caitlin's father, Mark, 40, said the storm was like a cyclone.
