AIRLINES EXPECT TO STICK WITH ALBANY.(Business)

Despite airline industry indications that major restructuring will trigger cutbacks on less-traveled air corridors, it appears that the shake-up will have little local impact.

USAir, Albany County Airport's largest air carrier, has no plans to alter its schedule of 60 flights in and out of Colonie daily.

"That's an enormous allowance of assets," said spokesman David Shipley. "We wouldn't be doing that in a market that wasn't carrying its own weight."
