Fed: Stimulus package clears parliament - now for the hard part

Business has welcomed the boost the stimulus package passed in parliament today will
provide the domestic economy .. predicting it will bolster confidence and certainty.

Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry chief PETER ANDERSON says the measures
will give the nation a fighting chance against a deep economic downturn.

Unions too have applauded the measures .. with ACTU president SHARAN BURROW saying
the package will be good for jobs and for working Australians.
